Price Drop Protector

At first I was kind of complaining in my head. I thought renting a car with kids is already tiring and now I have to worry if the price will drop again. I booked a Renault Clio with CARFREE in Krakow through QEEQ. It is a manual car with four doors and five seats. I planned to pick it up around the evening on June twentieth and return it the next night. After I booked it I started to worry. I thought maybe the same car will be cheaper later and then I would lose money. This idea stayed in my mind. Then I got an email that surprised me. Because I had Price Drop Protector they found that the price went down and they already changed my booking to the cheaper price and sent the difference back to me. I was a bit shocked and I thought this is so easy. I did not do anything special. I just made a normal booking and I saved some money for free. I can use that to buy more snacks for my kid. Before this I always checked prices again and again by myself. This time I did not need to watch anything. They helped me watch the price and when it got lower they fixed everything for me. The price difference was not huge but it felt like someone was helping me save money quietly. As a parent I have many things to pay for when I travel with my child so this small surprise was very nice for me.

One-Dollar Freeze

Before the trip with my kid to Szczytno in Poland, the first thing that made me feel relaxed was actually the booking I made on QEEQ. I was thinking that a trip with a child already costs a lot. If I had to pay the full car rental amount on my credit card at once, it would feel heavy. Then I saw the One-Dollar Freeze option. It said I only needed to pay 1 dollar first to lock the car. I felt it was really good for a parent like me. I chose the car first. In Szczytno I was going to pick up a Volkswagen Golf automatic, four doors and five seats. It was just right for my family. I remember that day I was at home, holding my kid with one hand and using my phone with the other. When I reached the payment page, it only charged 1 dollar. I paused for a moment and thought I clicked something wrong. I checked many times. Then I saw that the rest of the money would be taken automatically before the pick up date and there was no interest. My mind felt much lighter. During the weeks before the trip, I almost did not think about the payment. Every day was about my kid, packing, checking the weather and small things like that. The car booking part felt very easy. Sometimes I opened my email to see if the booking was still fine. Everything looked normal so I closed my phone and did other things. It felt like a big task was already put aside and I did not need to worry about it. A few days before we left, I suddenly remembered that the money should be charged soon. I checked my credit card bill and saw that the payment was already done. There was no extra fee and no interest. The amount was the same as what I saw when I booked. I felt that this way was really friendly to a family budget. The bill did not jump too high at one time. On the day we arrived in Szczytno, I went to the CARFREE counter with my kid and our luggage. The staff at the counter only needed to see my booking and my documents. The process was simple. I knew most of the money was already charged earlier, so I did not feel nervous there. It felt like I was just picking up a car that was already waiting for us. My kid was asking if this was our car and if he could sit in the front. I tried to calm him down and in my head I was glad that I had locked this Golf with just 1 dollar before. There were some moments when I thought that if I had to pay the full amount at the start, I might think too long. I might choose a smaller car or even skip renting a car and just use trains and buses. With this pay a little first and then pay the rest later way, I could choose the car that really fit our family and not only think about the pressure on my credit card. The whole thing was not dramatic. It just felt smooth step by step. I paid 1 dollar when I booked. Later they took the rest before the trip started. I only needed to take care of my kid, prepare our bags and go to Szczytno to get the car. When I sat in the car and fixed the child seat and adjusted the seat and mirrors, I suddenly felt that this flexible payment plan was actually very important for a parent like me who counts every cost. My credit card did not hit the limit at once and my mind did not feel so tight. When I think about that trip now, one small moment that stands out is that time I locked the car with just 1 dollar. It felt like I made things stable first and then let the payments finish slowly in the background. While I was busy with my kid and other plans, I had one less thing to worry about. For someone like me who likes to plan early and is scared of big pressure on the credit card, this way of paying for a rental car fits quite well.

Price Drop Protector

I have to complain a bit first because I really thought this booking was just normal and I would just pay and get my car. I booked my car through QEEQ for my Poland trip. I planned to pick up a Kia Sportage in Warsaw on the morning of May 5 and then drop it off in Rzeszow the next day. When I booked it I did the math and felt the price was ok so I just paid and forgot about it. Some time later I was checking my email and I saw a message that said the price went down and they sent some money back to me. My first thought was this might be a scam email. Then I looked at the amount and it matched my booking so I remembered there was a service called Price Drop Protector when I booked. I saw it but I did not really care at that time. Now I see it is actually useful. I did not do anything and the car did not change. It was still the same Kia Sportage and the same time and places. They just rebooked it for a cheaper price and sent the difference back to me. So I basically saved money for free. I even told my friends that my car rental paid me back and they were surprised. For a student like me this extra money feels really nice and it is like getting some extra pocket money out of nowhere.

Price Drop Protector

That night I was at home changing our plan. My kid was playing blocks next to me. I was looking at photos of Gdansk in Poland and booking a car on QEEQ at the same time. I wanted to take my family to the beach and the old town so I chose an Opel Astra Estate with Alamo. It is automatic and for a parent with a child that feels easier. I set the pick up time around seven in the morning on April 27 and drop off two days later around the same time. This fits our later schedule. When I made the booking I kept counting our budget in my head. Flights, hotel, food and tickets all added up and it was a bit stressful. I checked the price again and again. I saw a service called Price Drop Protector. It said if the price went down later they would rebook for me and give me the difference back. At first I did not fully trust it but I thought I have nothing to lose and I do not want to watch the price every day so I added it. I told my wife this is the car and I will not change again. My kid asked if it was a big car. I told him it might not fit a football goal but it can hold our suitcases. The next day during my lunch break at work I checked my email. I suddenly saw a new booking confirmation. It was from them. I thought I made a mistake and booked twice. I got a bit nervous and opened it fast. Then I saw that the same car group became cheaper and they had already rebooked it for me. The email showed very clearly that I saved a bit more than 18 PLN. That is like a few cups of coffee. I felt strangely happy like I just found some extra money in my pocket. I went back to my account and checked my bookings. The old one was replaced. Now there was only the new one. The time and car group were the same. I still pick up and drop off at Gdansk airport around seven in the morning two days apart. I did not need to click anything. I did not need to worry about two bookings at the Alamo counter or explain anything. Everything was already fixed for me. I just noted the saving in my mind and thought that I could buy my kid an extra ice cream in the old town. During the next few days I sometimes thought about it again. When I book things online and the price drops later I usually lose. This time they noticed the lower price by themselves. They moved me to the cheaper price and showed the exact amount that I saved. I did not have to contact customer service. They also did not bother me. They just quietly helped me save money. When I told my wife she said this is a smart feature and we can use it again. A few days before our trip I opened the confirmation again. The total amount was already the new lower price. I compared it with the old email and I could see that it was 18 PLN less. Because I travel with a child I always worry about extra costs like if we spend too much or run out of cash. So this small saving made the trip feel lighter in my mind. I felt someone was looking out for us. I did not change my plan or work hard for this money. It was the same car I chose before just cheaper now. For me Price Drop Protector feels like having someone in the background checking the price from time to time. I do not need to open price websites every day and think if I booked too early or too late. I only spent time at the start choosing the car, time and place. After that I let them handle it. They really helped me earn a bit of money for free. As a parent planning a trip with a kid this mix of saving money and saving trouble is very rare and it makes me feel more sure about booking with them.

Price Drop Protector

At the start I only wanted to book a car on QEEQ and I did not think too much. In my head I just said to myself the price looks ok so I will just book it now. Then I saw a service called Price Drop Protector. I asked myself is this thing really useful. It did not need extra work from me so I just added it. I made the booking after my plan for Krakow in Poland was set. The car was a Toyota C HR from CARFREE with automatic gear. As an overseas visitor I am really scared of manual cars so I felt calm when I saw it was automatic. I remember I booked in April and the car was set for pick up around May 7 in the early afternoon at about one. The drop off was around May 10 in the morning a bit after eight. I checked the time in my mind and it felt just right. So what about the price change. One day I was checking my email and I saw an update from them. My first thought was did my order have a problem. I opened it and saw it was about the price. I asked myself again does this mean I just saved money. The email said very clear that the same car was now cheaper and the system already made a new confirmed booking for me and the price difference would be paid back to me. The money was not a big amount. To be honest it was only a few CNY. But inside I still felt like I got free money. I did nothing special. I only booked the car like normal. They found the lower price by themselves and they changed the booking and returned the difference to me. I even told my friend that there is a service that watches the price for you. I did not need to chat with customer service and I did not need to bargain. I just saved some money in a very easy way. When I think about it if there was no Price Drop Protector I would never know the price went down later and I would not check the price every day. Now I feel that when I book a car with them next time I will just choose this service again. For me there is nothing to lose and maybe one day I can save more money again.

Price Drop Protector

I will start with the result. On this trip in Gdansk in Poland, I did nothing and still saved a few euros. That felt kind of crazy. I booked a Fiat 500L, automatic, small but fine for me because I travel alone. I picked it up around a mid May afternoon and brought it back a few days later in the morning. Very normal plan. I never sat there checking the price every day. When I first made the booking, I chose their Price Drop Protector. My thought was simple. If the price goes down, I win. If not, no big deal. Then I totally forgot about it. One day I was just scrolling through my email and I saw a message that my booking was updated. It said the new price was lower than before and they already gave me back the difference. Around three euros. Not a huge number, but the point is I did nothing. No calls. No talking to the car rental desk. I just waited to go to Gdansk and get my car. They noticed the lower price by themselves and rebooked it for me with the cheaper rate. Same type of car, same pickup and drop off place. I am usually too lazy to keep checking prices, especially after I already booked. And I travel alone, I do not really like to argue with people about money. So an auto refund like this feels like free money to me. It is like someone is watching the price for me in the background. I only need to show up and drive. The saving part is not my job anymore and that makes me feel pretty relaxed about booking next time.
